There are two options for deleting products and variants in Thrive:
Keep reading to learn more.
Before deleting, please note:
The deletion process cannot be undone! Deleted products cannot be restored to your catalog. If you deleted a product by accident, you will need to recreate it.
Deleting is across all locations. It will also remove it from any connected integrations (e.g., your POS), and Thrive.
Inventory history and sales history will be preserved in reports. In other words, deleting an item will not affect your history (except for products with Inventory Tracking disabled).
One-by-one
At the bottom of the Product Details page, you can delete an individual product:
WARNING: Deleting a product this way will also delete all its variants.
Deleting individual variants from a product
Go to the Variants & Defaults section of the page
Find the variant you want to delete
Scroll right to the gear wheel
Select "Remove Variant"
If it's the last variant of a product, we recommend recreating it. A simple product changed to a complex one (with multiple variants or attributes) can only be reverted by recreating it.
Deleting attribute options from a product
Go to the Variants & Defaults section of the page
Click "Edit Attributes"
Click the minus (-) sign near the option
If it's the last option for an attribute, you will not be able to remove it.
In addition, attribute sets cannot be removed, but they can be edited.
If you are trying to delete an attribute entirely and cannot repurpose it for another, we recommend recreating the product entirely.
Much like a simple product that has been changed to a complex one (with multiple variants or attributes) cannot be reverted back to a simple product, adding attributes is no different.
In bulk
To delete products in bulk, go to the Products page, click Actions>Delete Variants option as shown here:
Use the filters to narrow down your search and simplify the deletion task.
