Shipping fields can be found on Edit Products page under Shipping.
Important: Different integrations support different shipping fields. Your integration may not use all the shipping data you enter in Thrive.
Dimensions (BigCommerce & WooCommerce)
Width x Length x Height — No particular order is required since all three come up to the same total volume no matter the order.
It can be set across the entire product or variant-specific.
Choose from inches or centimeters in the Unit dropdown.
NOTE: BigCommerce and WooCommerce do NOT receive the Unit selected in Thrive, just the number values. The units in WooCommerce are set for the entire site in your WooCommerce settings.
If you already have variant-specific dimensions in WooCommerce, we recommend importing them to bring that information into Thrive.
Shopify, Square, and Clover do NOT support dimension data. You can still fill it in, but only Thrive will have the data.
Weight (BigCommerce, Shopify & WooCommerce)
Enter the total weight and choose the unit or measurement.
NOTE: BigCommerce and WooCommerce do NOT receive the Unit selected in Thrive, just the number values. The unit weight must be selected (for the entire site) on the Settings of your BigCommerce or WooCommerce sites.
Shopify and WooCommerce allow for variant-specific weights, which can be entered while editing a product.
If you already have variant-specific weights in your e-commerce integration, we recommend importing them to bring that information into Thrive.
Square and Clover do NOT support weight data. You can still fill it in, but only Thrive will have the data.
"This product requires shipping" ON / OFF Toggle — Physical vs. Virtual Product (Shopify)
For Shopify merchants: This toggle controls whether Shopify classifies your product as a physical or virtual product — it's not just a fulfillment preference.
ON (default): The product is treated as a physical product in Shopify. Shipping fields (like weight) are enabled in Thrive and synced to Shopify. This is the correct setting for the vast majority of products.
OFF: The product is marked as a virtual/digital product in Shopify. Shopify will no longer collect shipping at checkout for this item, and weight data will not be synced.
⚠️ If you sell physical goods, keep this toggle ON. Turning it off will mark your products as virtual in Shopify, which affects how shipping is calculated at checkout and removes weight data from those products.
For Shopify specifically, that toggle will also enable shipping on both the Bulk Editor and Product Editor pages:
*****
BigCommerce, Clover, WooCommerce, and Square will not show changes when the Shipping toggle is on. You can still activate it to enter data in Thrive, but only Thrive will display the option.
