Saved and Scheduled Reporting allows for additional insights, more diverse metrics, and filters, as well as faster load times for all accounts.

Opt to receive an e-mail of the report when it's complete. That way you can keep moving forward with your day, navigate away from the page, and know that we'll send it to you as soon as it's ready.

Even when you navigate away from the page, the report will continue to load in the background.

Enjoy more relevant preset dates to select from and with our additional columns that you can add, you'll be able to really "see" the math on how everything was calculated on the report.

Saved and Scheduled Reporting are available for the following reports:

Scheduling important reports is included with Professional plans and above.

Saving a Report

When you're on a report that you want to save, click the "Actions" button. Your options under the "Actions" button are:

  • Schedule this Report (keep reading to learn more)

  • Download CSV

When choosing to download a PDF or CSV, you'll have the option to print the "Current Page Only" or "All Pages".

  • Select "Current Page Only" if you only need the information from the current page. Those are small enough that they will download immediately.

  • Select "All Pages" for the option to have the complete report emailed to you.

Generally, it only takes a few moments for the completed Inventory Report to show up in the My Saved Reports section. Saved reports can be found under Metrics>Reports. It will be the second option on the list.

If you don't want to wait, that's why we have the email results option. When the report is complete, we'll send you an email with the title "Your requested report is ready!"

Once the report is downloaded to your device, you can print the report.

Re-Running a Report

When running a report for the same parameters that you've run before (same report, date range, etc), you'll see a slightly different message with the option to "Run the report again" as shown below:

By running the report again, we'll re-run the report and ensure we are giving you the most up-to-date information.

Once the report is downloaded and on your My Saved Reports section, you'll want to open up the PDF or CSV in a private (or incognito) browser to ensure you are getting the updated report.

  • NOTE: This stems from how your browser stores information (so it can load faster). If you simply click the PDF/CSV link without opening it in a private window, your browser will default to pulling the older, cached, report.

Scheduling a Report

To schedule a report, generate the report you want to schedule.

Once it's loaded, click the Actions button, then "Schedule this Report" as shown here:

Once you've clicked "Schedule this Report," customize it by:

  • Choosing how often you want the report run.

  • Opting in to email notifications (for the email address you're logged in with)

  • Naming your report.

The intervals will be Daily, Weekly (default), or Monthly. The dropdown options will be based on when the current Inventory Report is generated for. If you generate it for Tuesday the 2nd, you'll have the option to schedule it for "Monthly (on the 2nd)" or "Weekly (every Tuesday)".

  • NOTE: If the point in time you are running the report for is in the past, our system will default the 'Next Run' time to the next possible time after today. If you choose to run a report for a time in the future, that will be the 'Next Run' time.

If you would prefer the report be scheduled for the 1st of the month, just make sure that's when you're initially running it for the 1st.

Scheduling a report for the entire month?

We recommend initially running the report on a month that has 31 days. That way, we'll run the report on the last day of each month, no matter how many days are in the month.

Otherwise, an easy workaround is to run the report for the 1st of the next month (before you start selling for the day).

Once the report is scheduled, you can find the details in the My Scheduled Reports section of Thrive Inventory, found under Metrics>Reports. It will be the first option on the list.

The columns included on this page are:

  • Report Name (that you chose)

  • Report details

  • Next Run (date and time)

  • Options to Edit or Delete the scheduled report

  • Results (click the button to download past versions of that Scheduled Report)

Downloading and Printing your Saved Report

Under the My Saved Reports section, you'll find all of your completed reports and options to download them as either a PDF or CSV.

Once the report is downloaded to your device, you can then print it if you choose.
