The Thrive Convenience Store App is for Clover users only and differs from a Thrive Inventory account.

Welcome to the Thrive Convenience Store — a seamless way to manage inventory, promotions, and age-restricted sales directly on your Clover device.

Let’s take a tour of the app’s features to help you get started quickly and confidently.

Products: Manage your Inventory with Ease

The Products tab displays all items currently stored in your Clover inventory. This includes details like product names, variants, and pricing.

All product information is synced in real-time with Clover’s Inventory app. Any changes you make in one app will be automatically reflected in the other.

Three Ways to Add Products

Manually

  1. Select Add Product>Create Manually

  2. You'll be redirected to Clover's Native Interface

  3. Enter product details, and save!

Importing from our Product Database

Access and browse our growing product database. Select your products and click Import Selected to add products to your Clover's system

Importing from a Pre-Configured Catalog

A merchant's catalog can be pre-configured by Thrive, or by their merchant representative through our Catalog Builder website. Once this is done, the catalog is complete and can be imported into the Clover system in its entirety, making all products ready for sale.

For Thrive Inventory users: items added to Clover will not automatically sync over to Thrive Inventory. Please continue to make inventory changes in Thrive Inventory only.

Promotions: Set Rules & Drive Sales

Supported promotions include:

  • Buy One Get One (BOGO)

  • Time-based discounts (e.g., Happy Hour)

  • Category or product-specific deals

  • Holiday or seasonal sales

Promotion Setup Options:

  • Define conditions (e.g., days, times, categories, products)

  • Set start/end dates or recurring schedules

  • Apply percentage or flat discounts

  • Easily copy or modify rules for reuse

Age Verification: Keep Sales Compliant

The Convenience Store app features built-in Age Verification to ensure compliance when selling restricted items, such as alcohol and tobacco.

Enable by Product or Category

Apply Age Verification to specific products or categories (e.g., Alcohol). This setting will then sync across your devices.

Scanning & Manual Entry Options

When an age-restricted item is added to the cart, a verification screen will appear.

You can verify age by:

  • Scanning the barcode on the back of an ID (using an external scanner or Clover camera).

  • Manual entry of the customer’s date of birth.

If verification fails, the item is removed from the cart.

Age verification is handled on a per-order basis, and no personal data is stored or transmitted off the device.
