Label examples

Here is what each label looks like when printed:

Pro-Tip: Sometimes, the product variant will appear in parentheses, on a different line, or not at all, depending on your chosen format.

Where to Print Labels/Price Tags

You have several options for printing labels:

From the Products, Variants, or Bins Views of your Catalog

Navigate to the Products, Variants or Bins Views, then select the Print Labels Icon.

From the Product Details Page

You'll also see the option to print labels from an individual item's Product Details Page. Click on the Action button, then Print Labels.

Note: If you don't see the Actions button, you may need to Save to save any changes on the product, or click Cancel to go back.

Printing from Purchase Orders

When you receive a PO, you will automatically be prompted to see if you'd like to print labels for the products just received. If you do, we'll pre-fill those products and quantities for you!

Printing Labels

Once you select to print labels, you'll see this screen:

Select your Paper Layout, Font Size (Extra Small-Large), and choose your label components:

  • Product Name

  • Variant Name

  • Identifier (SKU or Barcode)

  • Barcode Format

  • Price (Full Price, Hide Cents, None)

The Identifier option will be what is translated to the visual barcode.

Once you've made your selections, you can choose which variants to print. Use the search bar and filters to your advantage. Select All is also an option if at least 1 filter is selected!

On the next page, review your label settings, choose whether to Use Default Prices, or location-specific, and set your quantities.

Selecting the magic wand will fill quantities with your quantity in stock, otherwise enter the desired quantities.

If you're printing labels on a page that has already had some labels printed, use the Skip Count field to skip those spaces and start in the right spot.

Once you're ready, hit generate!

Having issues?

No worries, we've got a list of the most common issues and fixes here:

Things to Note:

  • At this time, it is not possible to move the label elements around the label, they come in pre-set format.

  • If your browser does not have the paper size built-in, use Ctrl-P (⌘-P on Mac) to view all the size options on your operating system.

  • Barcodes and SKUs are validated with the recognized formats below.

  • The Barcodes you print from Thrive can be scanned using the Barcode Scanner app.

  • You may need to uncheck "Fit to page" in your printer settings for proper formatting.

  • When printing multiple pages of Avery labels, the second (and any more than the first) page prints a few millimeters higher than the first page. If you configure the printer to skip the first page and just print the second page and onward, it prints correctly. You can edit the print settings margins to 'none' to fix alignment issues.

    • This issue tends to affect older home printers.
