Square Hybrid Sync keeps your catalog and inventory connected across Square, Thrive, and Shopify.
In most cases, updates made in Square appear in Thrive and then flow to Shopify, while sales in Shopify reduce inventory in Thrive and sync back to Square. If something looks out of sync, this guide will walk you through quick checks and tools you can use to get everything back in alignment.

Quick Checks
Before trying our troubleshooting options, walk through this quick checklist:
Check Square – Ensure the product details or inventory update exists in Square, as it’s the source of truth.
Check Thrive – Refresh your Thrive account to confirm the change has synced in. Most updates appear within 2–3 minutes (up to 10).
Check Shopify – Once the update is visible in Thrive, it should be reflected automatically in Shopify.
Confirm product origin – Ensure the item was created in Square. Products created in Shopify will not import into Thrive.
If counts were updated in Thrive - Check that the item has updated in Thrive. Verify in your Square/Shopify Dashboard that the count has updated.
Sync Troubleshooting
If your updates still aren’t showing after the quick checks, Thrive’s sync tools can help push changes through:
Sync to Sales Channels: Imports the latest product details from Square and reconciles inventory levels between Thrive and Square. Pushes out this data to Shopify.
Reconcile Inventory Levels: Use this if your product details are correct, but inventory quantities don’t match. This task will verify inventory levels between Thrive and Square, reconcile any discrepancies, and then update the counts in Shopify.

Push All Unsynced: Under Settings > Advanced, you'll see the "Push all un-synced products & variants" task. This task ensures that counts and product information updates sync across all platforms.
