Great news! Thrive Inventory now supports up to 10 decimal places for quantity and currency fields, giving you the precision you need for accurate inventory management. This feature is available as part of the New Catalog Experience

We know you've been asking for this! Previously, Thrive had decimal-place limitations, which meant you had to frequently round your values.

With our new enhanced decimal support, you can now configure up to 10 decimal places for both quantity and currency fields. No more worrying about rounding errors.

Note: Your existing data stays exactly as it is. These settings just control how values are displayed and what precision you can use for new entries going forward.

What's Included:

Enhanced decimal place support gives you control over precision in four key areas:

  • Quantity fields - Set decimal places for inventory quantities throughout the platform

  • Currency fields - Set decimal places for all monetary values across the platform

  • Quantity fields in reports - Independently control decimal precision for quantities in generated reports

  • Currency fields in reports - Independently control decimal precision for currency values in generated reports

This means you can work with one level of precision in your day-to-day operations and use a different setting for the reports you generate and share.

Currency Fields Affected

Enhanced decimal support works with all currency fields across the platform, including:

  • Price

  • Cost

  • Fees

  • Freight

  • Taxes

  • Discounts

  • Totals and subtotals

  • Refund amounts

  • Value amounts

  • Any other monetary fields

Not included:

  • Percentage-based fields will continue using their existing decimal formatting.

  • For Invoicing: fields like total amount, payment amounts, and total refund amounts will not accept extra decimals. This is because Stripe and Clover payment processing only process payments with two decimal places.

Integration Compatibility

When you're syncing products to your integrations, Thrive will automatically round decimal values to match what each platform can handle.

Here's an example: If you have a product priced at $5.55555 in Thrive, it'll sync to Shopify as $5.56, since Shopify only supports 2 decimal places for prices.

When you import products from your integrations, they'll come in at their native precision. So a product priced at $5.56 in Shopify will import as $5.56 in Thrive.
