Tracking consignment sales in Thrive.

Our features make it easy to track consignment sales. There are several methods for achieving this inside of Thrive. You decide which method makes the most sense for your business from the options below:


Options

  • Create the consigner as a Category. In Thrive, you can add more than one Category to a product. Just be aware that this does affect Category-based reporting.

  • Assign the consigner as a Vendor. Thrive allows for Vendor filtering on reports. 

  • Use the Barcode field in the product settings. A Barcode can be shared across multiple products and it doesn't have to be a number (text is allowed). That way, every product that comes from a consigner will have the same Barcode. 

  • Track consignments by using the Product Name field and adding a code to identify the consigner, as shown here:

Whichever method you choose, it is usually best to use a CODE if you don't want your end Customer to know your consigner's name. (For example, if you order from Ana Smith Designs, you could create a code of "ASD" like the screenshot above). 

This way, you can obscure the consigner's name from your end customers and quickly be able to search/filter by the consigner.
