There are many ways to manipulate and change your products in Thrive. Edit or delete products one by one or in bulk.

Below are a few great options to get you started and make the best use of your time. And don't forget, we also have bulk spreadsheets where you can edit your whole catalog at once.

Editing on the Product Details page

From the Products or Variants view of your catalog, click on any product name to access the Product Details Page and begin editing the following fields:

Images

  • Product Images are managed in the Description section.

  • Variant Images are managed in the Identification section.

  • Images cannot be edited in bulk.

Product Name

  • Updating the Product Name will automatically update all variants of that product, which then any enabled integrations. This includes bundle variants.

Categories

  • Categories are managed in the Classification section.

  • You can:

    • Add new or existing categories

    • Remove categories by clicking the next to the category

  • There is no Thrive limit to how many categories a product can have.

Variants & Bundles

  • Variants can be added, edited, or deleted from the Variants & Bundles section.

  • Each variant:

    • Has its own inventory quantity

    • Appears as a separate item at the register

  • Products or variants can be converted into Bundles here:

    • Bundles create a relationship between items where a set quantity is deducted from linked products or variants when a sale occurs

Identification (SKU & Barcode)

Inventory

  • The Track Inventory toggle is located in the Inventory section.

    • Disable this for service or non-inventory products (e.g., haircuts)

    • It must be enabled to enter a quantity

  • Cost and Quantity are also managed in this section.

    • Values can be set per location

    • Or you can enable Use Defaults to apply the same values across locations

Pricing & Taxes

  • Pricing and tax settings are managed in the Pricing section.

  • You can:

    • Set pricing for all locations using Use Defaults

    • Set location-specific or integration-specific pricing

  • All Tax rates are enabled by default when a new product is created.

Locations & Availability

  • Locations and integrations are managed in the Access Location section.

  • If a location is disabled, the product will not be tracked in that location’s inventory

  • For a product to be available for sale:

    • The location must be enabled

    • At least one integration must be enabled

Product Status & Integrations

  • A product is considered Active if at least one integration is enabled.

    • Active products sync to your POS and can be sold

  • If all integrations are disabled:

    • The product is Inactive

    • It will not appear for sale (useful for ingredients or internal inventory)

  • Product Sync Status is managed at the product level only.

Shipping

  • Shipping details can be managed in the Shipping section at the bottom of the page.

  • Bundles that are copied will include the original component(s).

  • Copying a product in Thrive won’t copy fields that are managed by your integration(s); those must be set after the item syncs to your integration.
